The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing the outbound flow of all customer orders, ensuring best business practices are being optimized between interdepartmental functions, with the key goal of maximizing total sales volumes for all divisions and brands.
The Sales Operations Manager will work directly with the Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure the smooth running of the company and contribute to sustainable growth by coordinating the necessary functions to maximize the allocation of inventory to sales orders. They will support and direct the efforts of the in-house teams to achieve the North American Division's sales goals and objectives.
The Sales Operations Manager will also support the Sales Department in all aspects of the order cycle — from B2B and B2C system order placement through to the shipping process — as part of the Sales, Operations, and Finance team.
The position's daily tasks include the management of operations, in-house sales, and multi-brand production teams, as well as inventory mapping, allocations, planning, data / B2B management, sales tools, and sales administration.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor the operations, in-house sales, and multi-brand production staff.
- Maintain awareness of company financial and sales goals.
- In collaboration with sales and in-house teams, supervise and review the preparation of the monthly sales outlook.
- Review and monitor warehouse workload, inbound flow, and orders to optimize allocation and pick run processes to achieve monthly targets.
- Provide relevant information to sales to facilitate and optimize the order release process.
- Monitor and manage compliance to retailer routing manuals from onboarding through ongoing updates, including :
- EDI
- Ticketing, packing, shipping, and routing requirements
- Vendor violations and exemptions
- Coordination with all internal departments
- Oversee and manage the order book across all brands, from data entry (BTB, EDI) to completion.
- Ensure product setup accuracy (line plans, NuOrder, AP21)
- Provide B2B tools and ensure data accuracy (dates, prices, discounts, etc.)
- Optimize stock allocation and pick run processes
- Monitor inventory levels, aging, and transfers
- Collaborate with demand planning and shipping to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with in-house, sales management, and finance to release orders promptly and minimize attrition
- Maintain a clean order book and cancel orders when required
- Manage ERP / B2B systems and data accuracy across LP multi-brand, AP21, and NuOrder.
- Coordinate product data with production and assist in setup as needed
- Maintain sales tools (line plans, catalogs, online & Excel order forms)
- Oversee system training for internal and external staff
- Collaborate with ERP / software teams (AP21, ShipExec, SPS, OpenText) to enhance operational tools
Reporting & Operations
Partner with VP Operations on process reviews and continuous improvementProvide ad hoc reporting and analysis for Sales and Divisional ManagementQUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.7+ years of progressive operations or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.Experience in Wholesale consumer goods distribution strongly preferred.Proven track record in high-volume warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment environments(including DTC and wholesale).Strong leadership and team development skills; experience managing cross-functionalteams (warehouse, logistics, customer service, etc.).Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partnersCollaborative leadership style with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Proficient in ERP, EDI and WMS systems.Advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify inefficiencies andimplement improvements.Experience implementing or optimizing operational systems and processes.Ability to oversee demand planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment.Ability to adapt quickly to change and drive continuous improvement in operations.
