Payroll & Benefits Associate
This role involves assisting with the administration of employee benefits, payroll, and leaves of absence, serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to these areas, as well as HR policies and procedures. Inquiries will be addressed via phone, email, or in person, providing clear and accurate information. Responsibilities include managing employee life events, ensuring all personal information is accurately updated in relevant systems, and confirming that employees are enrolled in the correct benefits as well as the validation of payroll data. The role also involves overseeing the offboarding process for departing employees, including benefits continuation and final payroll processing. Additionally, this position is responsible for running the company's full payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for tracking, reporting, and analyzing payroll and benefits data, while strong analytical skills are necessary to identify and resolve discrepancies. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, an attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a very fast-paced environment. Starting annual salary is $56,655.
Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in human resources, payroll, or a related field; or 2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in human resources, payroll, or a related field; or 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in human resources, payroll, or a related field. NOTE : Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
