Mental Health Professional

The Mental Health Professional is indirectly supervised by the Clinical Manager, Community Support Program and provides care to clients utilizing the Robert Young Center principles of Trauma Informed Care.
The Mental Health Professional (MHP) provides case management services to severely mentally ill adults in the community.
The MHP manages care under the direct supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) or Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and performs diagnostic assessment, coordinates treatment planning, and monitors clients through the treatment process.
The MHP facilitates coordination of care with multidisciplinary groups to optimize individual treatment plans and safety of the behavioral health care client.
The MHP may train students assigned to the department. The MHP provides crisis intervention, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and demonstrate Trinity’s principles and values when interacting with clients, families, visitors, physicians and coworkers.
