Fire Alarm Systems Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will participate in the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art fire alarm and security equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, field peripherals, cctv or ip cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms.

As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will :

• Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm and security systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
• Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm and security systems
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
• Complete commissioning within planned timelines
• Submit accurate time and expense logs
• Work overtime when needed

You will make an impact with these qualifications :

Basic Qualifications :

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED
• Demonstrated electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and / or education), user PC / software skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Entry-Level : 6+ months of experienceMid-Level : 3+ years of experience installing commercial fire alarm equipment and integrated security systems
• Demonstrated understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate types / colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification
• Entry Level : Must obtain Level 1 certification within 18 months
• Mid-Level : Level 1 certification required; must obtain Level 2 certification within 12 months
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications :

• Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience installing commercial fire alarm equipment and integrated security systems
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification Level 2 or 3
• Demonstrated ability to read / understand design and construction documents
