Job Title : Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates. This involves removing old rubber gaskets, cleaning and testing the plates for defects, and preparing them for shipment by gluing new gaskets and transferring them to the oven.

Responsibilities :

• Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets.
• Clean plates using power washing techniques.
• Test plates for cracks or holes using specialized materials and equipment.
• Glue new gaskets onto the plates and transfer them into an oven for adhesion.
• Package plates for shipment.

Work Environment :

Work in an open manufacturing warehouse with a team of 12 current or former employees. The environment is not climate-controlled, and the position requires adherence to safety dress codes, including steel-toed boots and jeans. The company provides safety glasses and gloves. This is a first-shift opportunity, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with the possibility of working Saturdays.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
