Facility Maintenance Worker
Performs basic work including a variety of custodial, maintenance and cleaning responsibilities in a timely manner that helps keep New Brighton facilities in a safe, clean and prepared condition for staff and facility users. Performs related work as apparent or assigned. This position requires availability to work nights and weekends.
Essential functions include :
- Performs daily custodial work in and around New Brighton facilities in a manner that helps ensure safe and clean facilities.
- Analyzes and repairs building equipment as needed including electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
- Inspects building safety equipment including fire suppression, AED, eye wash stations, boilers, HVAC units, water heaters, water softeners, kitchen equipment, indoor playground, emergency lights, workout equipment, and general building safety needs.
- Ensures building supplies are stocked and facilities are prepared for day to day operations, meetings, programs, rentals and other team needs.
- Ensures building safety year round including shoveling snow and de-icing sidewalks.
Minimum qualifications include :
High school diploma or GED with work-related experience.Drivers license.Desired qualifications include :
Three or more years of facility maintenance / cleaning or related experience.Experience with Microsoft 365 including Excel and Outlook.Certified Playground Safety Inspector Certification.Competencies common to all positions include :
