The Tax Manager will supervise the tax team and provide guidance, direction, organization of work, and support to the team.
You will also consult with clients and handle any issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the tax team and provide employees with guidance, direction, leadership, and support
- Follow up on tax returns in progress
- Organize production of work and employee workflow
- Review employees work and provide constructive feedback
- Develop procedures and policies
- Perform tax research
- Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate
- Oversee non-income tax compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- EA or CPA a plus but not required
- 3+ years' of experience of professional tax experience
- 3+ years of experience with forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990
- 1+ years of management experience
- Payroll preparation experience a big plus.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Excel, and Google Docs
- Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills
