Overview
Project Manager - Civil role at 619 Recruiting. We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead public infrastructure projects focused on roadway signage, traffic signals, lighting, and related improvements. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and civil construction experience, ideally within DOT or municipal environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and closeout of multiple roadway civil infrastructure projects, including road signs, signalization, and lighting systems.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and schedules to ensure alignment with budget targets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate phasing with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with federal, state, and local codes, as well as DOT specifications.
- Direct field staff, subcontractors, and vendors to meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, engineers, inspectors, and government agencies.
- Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and all necessary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion a safety-first culture on all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) required5+ years of experience managing civil construction projects, preferably in roadway, signal, or lighting scopes requiredProven track record managing projects in the $1M-$10M+ rangeStrong knowledge of MUTCD, DOT standards, and municipal permittingProficient in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar project management softwareExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsOSHA 30 certification preferredValid drivers license and ability to travel to active job sites as needed (Indianapolis and surrounding area)Equal Opportunity Employer.Seniority level
