Responsibilities :

Project Assessment : Review and analyze residential construction project plans and specifications to create detailed and precise cost estimates.

Cost Breakdown : Break down project costs into material, labor, and other relevant components, ensuring transparency and accuracy in estimates.

Vendor and Supplier Collaboration : Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships.

Bid Preparation : Prepare comprehensive and well-documented bids for residential construction projects, meeting submission deadlines.

Value Engineering : Identify and suggest cost-saving alternatives without compromising the quality and integrity of the project.

Continuous Improvement : Stay abreast of industry trends, construction methods, and material costs to enhance estimating accuracy.

Communication : Effectively communicate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other team members to gather necessary information and refine estimates.

Documentation : Maintain organized records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.

Requirements :

Experience : Proven experience as a Residential Construction Estimator, preferably in the residential building industry.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Technical Skills : Proficient in construction estimating software and MS Office Suite.

Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements and provide accurate estimates.

Detail-Oriented : Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimating and budgeting.

Communication Skills : Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information effectively.

Team Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Time Management : Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
