QA Tech II / Quality Assurance, Testing / Onsite / Austin, TX
Our client is a Fortune 10 company that is looking to hire a QA Tech II on a contractual basis. Based out of Austin, TX this position will be fully onsite.
They are seeking a talented and highly motivated QA / Lab Engineer to work specifically on Alexa devices. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can troubleshoot complex issues, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for thoroughly testing and validating electronic devices.
Contract Duration : 7 Months
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with software project testing : Defining test strategy, writing test plans, designing and executing software tests.
1+ years of experience in writing scripts in at least Python.
Desired Skills & Experience
Knowledge of UNIX environment is desired.
Demonstrated expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
Hands-on experience in testing Linux and / or Android-based devices.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
Work with Hardware and Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation and performance of Alexa-enabled devices.
Thoroughly test and validate Alexa-enabled devices across both hardware and software dimensions.
Define test strategies, write detailed test plans, design, and execute software tests for Alexa products.
Identify, troubleshoot, and report complex issues, contributing to root cause analysis and resolution.
