Application Development : Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions using tool such as PowerBI, Spotfire, TrueContext, or other platforms best fit to meet business requirements.
This may involve creating forms, workflows, and integrations.
- Customization and Configuration : Customize applications to align with client requirements. This could include configuring form fields, adding conditional logic, and implementing advanced features.
- Integration : Integrate applications with other systems and applications, such as CRM software, databases, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Ensure seamless data flow between different platforms.
Workflow Automation : Design and implement automated workflows using applications to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
This may involve creating triggers, actions, and notifications.
Data Management : Manage data collected through custom applications, including data validation, storage, and retrieval.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Troubleshooting and Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users experiencing issues with custom applications.
Investigate and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for custom applications, including user guides, technical specifications, and training materials.
Ensure that documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough testing of custom applications to identify and resolve defects before deployment. Perform regression testing and ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaboration : Work closely with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and other developers, to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices related to custom development.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the development team.
Training and Knowledge Sharing : Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams or end-users on how to use custom applications effectively.
Share expertise and best practices with colleagues to foster continuous learning and improvement.
Adherence to Best Practices : Follow coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines when developing custom applications.
Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well-documented.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in mobile form development using PowerBI, Spotfire, TrueContext, or other platforms.
- Experience in customizing and configuring forms, workflows, and data integrations.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS for advanced customization and scripting within custom applications.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services for data integration and communication with external systems.
- Ability to work with databases and data management systems for storing and retrieving form data.
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) systems and mobile application deployment processes.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent education in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required.
However, relevant experience and certifications can sometimes substitute for formal education.
