HR Specialist (Full-Cycle Recruiting Focus)
Position Summary
The HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organization’s human resources function with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruiting, while also contributing to core HR operations such as employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits, and training. This role ensures that the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with HR policies and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offers.
Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, develop job descriptions, and create effective recruitment strategies.
Utilize job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct sourcing methods to build a strong candidate pipeline.
Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and feedback collection to ensure a positive candidate experience.
Assist with employer branding initiatives to promote the company as an employer of choice.
Track recruiting metrics and provide reports on time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and other KPIs.
HR Operations & Compliance
Support new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Assist in maintaining HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Participate in audits, reporting, and compliance activities as required.
Employee Engagement & Development
Partner with HR leadership to support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
Assist in coordinating training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Provide support for performance review cycles, goal-setting, and feedback processes.
Benefits & Leave Administration
Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
Assist in managing leave of absence requests and ensure compliance with FMLA and other applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred;
2+ years of HR experience with direct full-cycle recruiting responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A MUST
