Payroll specialist

Payroll Professionals wanted! We are currently interviewing for a payroll professional to work a 4 month contract assignment here in San Antonio! They will be working onsite 5 days a week handling payroll for over 600 people. This role does require at least 5 years of experience and has utilized ADP! They will also need to be experienced in garnishments, payroll reporting, and payroll taxes. If you are qualified and ready to take on a contract role, then apply today!

Responsibilities

• 5+ years payroll processing that includes complex payroll of at least 600 employees; utilization of ADP automated payroll system to include report design
• 3+ years accounting experience to include knowledge of transaction balancing; familiarity with payroll reporting including completing government surveys, IRS tax reporting, and garnishments
• 3 + years of functional and technical HR, Payroll and HRIS experience.
• Audits data input in the HRIS (ADP WFN) due to New Hires and Salary Change Forms.
• Verifies data input and makes changes in HRIS (Payroll / Time) due to Personnel Action Forms.
• Processes all additional requests for wage payments, including awards / incentives, on call pay, etc.
• Completes analysis of payroll tax and garnishment processes to ensure effectiveness and accuracy.
• Provides payroll tax and garnishment guidance to payroll team members.
• Performs routine internal audits of various payroll areas to ensure operational SOX controls are achieved in partnership with the Payroll, HRIS and Benefits Manager.
