Sr. Project Engineer
Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join their team. The Senior Project Engineer will lead and execute complex engineering projects with a particular focus on solid dose applications. This role drives process improvements, manages capital projects, and ensures compliance with cGMP, EHS, and quality standards. The engineer will work cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, and global teams to deliver strategic initiatives on time and within budget.
What's the Job?
- Lead end-to-end execution of capital and process improvement projects.
- Design and implement equipment and systems aligned with cGMP and safety standards.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Prepare / manage CapEx requests and financial controls.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders for equipment installation / validation (IQ / OQ)
- Comply with all Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies.
- Ensure EHS and regulatory compliance across all projects.
- Support audits and interactions with governmental agencies and customers.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, reports, and validation protocols
- Work with R&D, Planning, Marketing, Quality, and Global Business Category groups to ensure STP plant cGMP operations meet company and consumer needs.
- Partner with Operations and Facilities teams to drive ongoing improvements
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventative actions.
- Propose process design and layouts to maximize efficiency.
- Evaluate new technologies and promote harmonization across global resources.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using cost / benefit opportunities
- Prepare work specifications and negotiate contracts.
- Manage outside contractors ensuring compliance with OSHA, RB Contractor Management, and plant policies.
- Revise engineering drawings to incorporate changes
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Provide leadership in managing behaviors relative to policy and procedures.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).5+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments.Expertise in project management, process design, and capital project execution.Strong knowledge of cGMP, validation protocols, and compliance frameworks.Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD / SolidWorks), MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.Ability to travel as required (moderate expectations)
