IT - Mainframe P / A - Senior

Looking for a worker to be in Austin, TX. Onsite 3-4 days a week.

Seeking a Mainframe Developer, with 10+ years of development experience, to implement and test changes to mission critical COBOL / DB2 applications. The role works in an Agile / Scrum team, collaborates with internal teams, and uses JIRA / Confluence for work tracking and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement code changes to COBOL programs, copybooks, JCL, and DB2 stored procedures.
• Unit test all code changes and additions (COBOL, copybooks, JCL, DB2 SPs).
• Support QA during integration and regression testing; reproduce and help diagnose defects.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups.
• Coordinate with Client's internal teams to validate dependencies and integrations.
• Work with external vendors where necessary to test and validate dependencies.
• Document changes and testing results in Confluence; manage tasks and defects in JIRA.
