We have 1 position to fill for a Licensing Specialist, located in the Suncoast Region, serving Charlotte, Collier, DeSota, Glades, Hendry, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. This is a full-time Career Service position with benefits including 13 days of vacation and 13 days of sick leave per year, 9 paid state holidays, 1 personal holiday, participation in the Florida Retirement System, full health and dental benefits, state-paid life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, tuition reimbursement, and more.

The provision of substance abuse services is governed by Chapters 394 and 397 of the Florida Statutes. Licensure Services administer and maintain a comprehensive regulatory process to license service providers and professionals who provide substance abuse services to individuals and families at risk of or challenged by substance abuse.

Responsibilities

Licensure functions are implemented by staff of the Office of Licensing at the local levels throughout the state, governed by Chapter 397, F.S., and Chapter 65D-30, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
