Upscale French Restaurant Group is looking to hire professional and experienced General Manager. Overall responsibility for all restaurant operations to ensure that guests receive exceptional service, food and beverages while maximizing profits .
Primary responsibilities :
- Manages and oversees entire restaurant operation and assists in supervising daily shift operations.
- Participating in training about standardized policies and conferring regularly with the Director of Operations and ownership about restaurant operations and shares all information with staff in a timely matter.
- Open s and closes restaurant shifts.
- Ensures all standards of service and policies and procedures of managers and associates are being met.
- Oversees all personnel responsibilities, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and disciplining all employees.
- Responsible for financial performance of restaurant, setting and forecasting budgets and spending, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
- Maximizes all profit centers by effectively utilizing all management systems.
- Oversees purchasing of all beverages, food, supplies and use of beverages and food within required dates and with a minimum of waste.
Skills and qualifications :
- Must have at least two years of work experience as a restaurant General Manager, Manager, Hospitality Manager, or in a similar role .
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required .
- H old a current Food Handlers Certification or acquire one within one month of employment.
- E xperience with all aspects of restaurant operations including but not limited to budgeting, expense management, inventory control, payroll and labor costing, staffing, and profit and loss management.
Languages : French and Italian (highly preferred)
