Psychiatry Geriatric physician employment in Connecticut :
A healthcare system in Hartford County is currently seeking a Medical Director for a promising position with their Geriatric Psychiatry Department.
About the Opportunity :
- Setting : Hospital based
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
- Hours : Standard business
- Call : One weekend every 4-5 weeks
Responsibilities :
The Geriatric Psychiatry Medical Director will be responsible for :
- Providing education and leadership to all services in the unit
- Attending unit and hospital meetings
- Dealing with program issues and staff training
- Marketing the program
- Practicing clinically within the department
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- Current unrestricted CT medical license
- Fellowship trained in Geriatric Psychiatry
- Board Eligible / Certified in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry (MD / DO)
