Risk Analyst-Day Shift
The Risk Analyst (Day Shift) plays a critical role in protecting firm and client capital by monitoring real-time trading activity, enforcing margin and liquidation policies, and ensuring adherence to applicable exchange, NFA, and CFTC standards. The analyst works closely with trading, risk, and compliance teams to maintain accurate visibility of account exposure and support sound operational decision-making.

Core Focus
- Real-time monitoring of client and firm exposure.
- Intraday liquidation supervision and reconciliation.
- Margin sufficiency and risk-parameter enforcement.
- Coordination with Desk, Compliance, and Back Office.
- Audit-ready documentation and recordkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor all live trading accounts for margin sufficiency, exposure limits, and concentration risk.Enforce liquidation policies; confirm that auto-liquidation triggers are executed correctly.Validate risk alerts and escalation flows to the Desk and Risk Manager.Perform T+1 reconciliation of margin balances, trade data, and liquidation results between IB and FCM systems.Record exceptions, manual actions, and margin events in risk logs for audit traceability.Compliance & Recordkeeping
Maintain all risk data and communications per CFTC Rule 1.31 and NFA supervisory requirements.Ensure that liquidation records, margin calls, and alerts are archived via Global Relay and internal S3 storage.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Collaboration & Communication
Partner with the Trade Desk to verify liquidations and resolve margin alerts.Coordinate with Engineering and Compliance on system anomalies or risk alerts.Work with Back Office to confirm debit reconciliations and promotional-credit validations.Analysis & Reporting
Generate daily risk reports and exposure metrics for leadership review.Contribute to the development of automated dashboards and KPIs.Support cross-department initiatives for risk automation.Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
24 years' experience in risk, brokerage operations, or trade supervision (futures, FX, or equities).Knowledge of CFTC / NFA margin and recordkeeping rules.Familiarity with risk platforms (e.g., T4, CQG, TT, or similar).Strong Excel and analytical skills; able to reconcile large data sets accurately.Calm decision-making and judgment under pressure.Excellent written and verbal documentation habits.Series 3 license or willingness to obtain.Preferred Skills
Experience with FCM risk or trade surveillance systems.Familiarity with SQL or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).Prior exposure to automated risk alerting or incident-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Slack workflows).Company Culture & Perks
