Job Title : Site Construction & Commissioning Lead
Location : Juno Beach, FL
Job Type : Long-term contract
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and / or vendors at the project site.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project.
- Manage walk downs of planned work and validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements.
- Approve contractor payment requests and verify constructability.
- Ensure proper resource allocations, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed.
- Oversee scope control, budget oversight, performance reporting, schedules, and work in progress.
- Ensure Construction Supervisors are effectively implementing their assignments and achieving desired results.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce.
- Communicate departmental, station, and division goals, validating each performer's ability to influence those goals.
- Act as a bridge between field operations and customer leadership, ensuring alignment between construction crews and project stakeholders.
- Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and maintain progress of construction activities.
- Survey and observe contractor Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices.
- Provide coaching, direction, and corrective action as needed.
Education
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Relevant Experience
6 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.Additional Responsibilities
Lead commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to implement commissioning plans.Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines.Resolve operational issues that arise during the commissioning phase.Other
