Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is seeking a full-time Retail General Manager to lead operations for an exciting new concept Van Leeuwen Flavor Lab located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate, growing team as we enter our next stage of growth.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running restaurant or caf concepts (full service or quick service), overseeing new operational rollouts, leading training initiatives, and driving excellence in guest experience. A genuine passion for R&D and flavor innovation is a plus!

The Retail General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Flavor Lab. This includes managing people operations, sales, inventory, and the guest service experience.

Job Responsibilities :

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning stations for employees.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, onboarding, and training employees.
• Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Educate staff on weekly new flavor drops specific to the Flavor Lab, obtaining flavor profiles from the Head of Culinary.
• Achieves financial objectives by monitoring sales targets, maintaining budgets, and properly forecasting labor.
• Upholds excellent standards of customer service.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for customers and employees.
• Rolls out new menu items to team members and communicates these changes throughout the retail space.
• Processes weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage and submit all employee forms.
• Orders and maintains uniform supply and successfully holds all employees to uniform standard.
• Addresses all maintenance issues.

Salary Range : $68,000 - $70,000 USD
