Desktop Support Technician - Temporary Position

Kennedy Capital Management is a St. Louis-based investment firm . We are currently seeking a Temporary Desktop Support Technician to assist our technology team.

This immediate, temporary position offers flexible work hours on-site.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth operations by providing comprehensive hardware and application support to all end users within our organization.

From remote assistance to face-to-face interactions, you'll play a vital role in resolving technical issues and maintaining seamless functionality across our systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Resolve Technical Issues : Troubleshoot and resolve a diverse range of system, application, and hardware issues promptly and efficiently.
• End-User Support : Collaborate directly with end users to identify and address technical challenges, providing clear and effective solutions.
• System Maintenance : Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Hardware and Software Configuration : Install and configure desktop hardware and software to meet the needs of our users and ensure compatibility with our systems.
• Documentation and Asset Management : Contribute to the documentation of processes and systems while effectively managing asset tracking.
• Crisis Management : Provide timely crisis management for downed services, effectively resolving, managing, and escalating issues as needed in collaboration with team members.

Desired Skills and Qualifications :

• Education / Equivalent Experience : Currently pursuing or holding a relevant Bachelors or Associates Degree from a technical college or university, or possess equivalent IT experience.
• Technical Proficiency : Demonstrated experience working in diverse technical environment with strong understanding of hardware, software, and system troubleshooting.
• Communication Skills : Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative Team Player : Effectively interact across different departments and levels within the organization.
• Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with financial industry is a plus, but not required.

Location and Work Assignment :

This position is based in our vibrant offices in St. Louis, MO, and requires 100% onsite presence. This is an immediate temporary position with an anticipated duration extending through the summer, with flexibility in hours to accommodate the candidate's schedule.

Part-time hours (20-25 per week) are available during the school year if needed, with the opportunity to increase hours during the summer months.
