Job Description and Duties

• Undergeneral direction, to plan implement and provide public health nursing servicesand an infection control program in an all-male forensic mental health statehospitals;
• assists with the surveillance, prevention and control of infectionsand communicable diseases; carries out epidemiological investigations;

keeprecords, analyzes data, prepares reports and disseminates information to variesconsumers

Working Conditions

The employeeis required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughoutthe hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other worklocations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.

All employeesare required to have an annual health review and repeat health reviews whenevernecessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presenceof infection and are able to safely perform their essential job duties.
