Network Operations Director
We are seeking a full-time non-exempt Network Operations Director to join our Operations team. In this role, the primary responsibilities will include managing the Network Operations Center and infrastructure teams.
The NOC team is responsible for 24 / 7 monitoring and troubleshooting of the network to ensure peak performance & reliability, supporting field infrastructure teams, and execution of network projects.
The infrastructure teams (tower and fiber) are responsible for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on our backbone infrastructure.
Additional key functions include collaborating with the NOC Team to identify areas for improvement and opportunity, while working in partnership with Dispatch, Engineering and Field Operations managers to address network and customer issues in an effective and timely manner.
The Network Operations Director will consistently ensure upgrade recommendations are submitted to the Engineering Project Manager and executed effectively to result in a superior customer experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for network monitoring, surveillance, & repair
- Capacity management
- Fully operational network reliability of 99.999% uptime
- Collaborate with other departments to provide Network design and configuration suggestions
- Identify current & future customer requirements by utilizing existing tools & methods
- MOP Review / Approval
- Research, collect, review & analyze performance data to provide recommendations
- Direct management of the NOC, TOPS & OSP Managers
- Represent NOC, TOPS & OSP Departments to the Company
- Comply with Core Values & ensure department adherence to policy & procedure
- Ensure upgrade opportunities are identified and submitted
- Ability to travel up to 10% overnights if needed
- All other duties assigned
- Regular & predictable attendance required
- Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
- Must pass a background check, MVR & drug screen

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least 6+ years of ISP industry experience
- 4+ years’ experience troubleshooting Fiber & / or Wireless / Network systems
- 4+ years’ experience in employee management
- Advanced IP Networking knowledge required (competency in full OSI stack)
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities
