This is a Full-time In office support role. Active work day from 8 : 30 am CT - 5 pm CT (These hours best support the business nationwide)

The HRIS / Payroll Analyst plays a key role in supporting human resources functionality. This role provides comprehensive HR support, ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

This position requires regular use of discretion and judgement. This is an individual contributor role.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties and tasks may be assigned) :

  • Serves as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provides guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Promotes positive employee relations by addressing and resolving employee concerns, conflicts, and complaints.
  • Conducts investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations as required.
  • Provides integration support by creating employment summaries, tracking onboarding progress and ensuring all new hires are processed in payroll system in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that onboarding and orientation of new hires is completed timely and accurately.
  • Completes E-Verify for all new employees within 3 days of hire.
  • Runs background screens for all final candidates, and partners with HR Business Partner on any issues.
  • Acts as point of contact for all Worker's Compensation injuries or illnesses, and takes appropriate partners, as needed.
  • Provides support for benefits programs, including data entry of benefit information, follow up with employees, support with open enrollment, answering questions, and ensuring new hire benefit communication is sent to all new hires in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the performance evaluation process.
  • Maintains accurate employee records, including personal files, HR databases, and HRIS systems.
  • Ensures compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists in conducting HR audits to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assists in the coordination of annual benefits enrollment and conduct benefits orientation for employees.
  • Provides benefit support to employees by answering questions, performing data entry, and reporting tasks, communicating benefit information, and assisting with open enrollment tasks.
  • Provides backup payroll support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
  • 3-5 years experience with HRIS management and day-to-day troubleshooting for internal employees
  • Experience creating and running custom reports in HRIS - Paylocity & Paycom
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and be able to train other employees on different functions of the system
  • 1-2 years experience processing payroll for non-exempt employees
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and handle multiple projects at once while still meeting deadlines and maintaining constant communication
  • HR professional certification ( PHR or SHRM preferred )
  • 3+ years' of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred experience and skillset :

  • Proven work experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office applications, and other HR software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and proficiency in relevant software and technology.
  • Strong work ethic, the ability to work well on a team, adaptability, and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Employees must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies relating to data privacy, confidentiality, and security.
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.
