A bit about us :

As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting functions of the bank. You will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic finance team and contribute to the financial stability and growth of the bank

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements for financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with financial systems and software, preferably with banking software such as FIS or Fiserv.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

Job Details

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the bank, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and other financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, maintain integrity of financial data, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections and monitor performance against targets.
  • Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate external audits and regulatory examinations, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, including analysis of financial results, strategic planning, and decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure the bank's financial practices remain compliant and competitive.
  • Lead and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to support business initiatives and strategic objectives.
