About the Role
We are looking for a Consultant to join our Financial Communications team. You will primarily support team members in the execution of investor relations (IR) programs and financial communications across a variety of industries, conduct capital markets research, and engage with members of the investment community. You will gain exposure to ESG, M&A and Activism practices and stay up-to-date on key issues and current events relevant to clients and financial markets.
What You'll Do
For Clients :
- Monitor, analyze, and synthesize market-moving news and developments from diverse sources to keep clients informed and well-positioned
- Contribute to development and execution of strategic investor relations programs
- Understand each client's business and investment thesis
- Translate research and investor feedback into actionable client guidance
- Perform detailed and accurate research to support client projects and deliverables
- Assist in developing corporate messages to position a company's story to stakeholders
- Communicate with clients via email and meetings; incorporate quantitative and qualitative analysis into messaging and investor engagement recommendations
- Complete targeting processes and arrange institutional investor meetings
- Monitor research and report on financial markets, industry trends, peers, stock movements and media coverage
- Understand each client's shareholder base and sell-side analyst coverage
- Research best-practice policies and programs
- Draft client communications such as press releases and presentations under senior guidance
- Handle IR logistics, including press release distribution, earnings calls and webcasts, and vendor liaison
- For Strategic Communications : Work within the Financial Communications Practice network and leverage resources for new projects; contribute to the growth of the practice; assist leaders to advance the field; demonstrate integrity in handling firm and client data
- For New Business Development : Provide tactical support, conduct research, and draft new business materials; use reference tools (FactSet, EDGAR, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, AlphaSense, MSCI, Factiva); stay updated on major stock market, business, economic and regulatory news

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications :
1 year of experience in sell-side research, equity asset management, investment banking, financial communications, or investor relations; other relevant experience encouragedExperience analyzing 10-Ks, earnings reports, investor presentations and other public company financial dataStrong quantitative and qualitative research skillsExcellent written and oral presentation skillsAbility to learn quickly with a service-oriented attitudeAbility to multi-task and maintain accuracy and attention to detailOrganizational skills in a fast-paced environment; able to meet deadlinesProficiency in Word, PowerPoint and ExcelProficiency in Capital IQ or FactSetTravel required to client locations and FTI officesPreferred Qualifications :
Ability to think creatively and logically without bias; openness to a broad range of ideasAdaptability to build positive relationships with diverse individualsAbility to manage priorities across multiple client assignmentsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related fieldCFA or FSA credentials are a plusLI-HYBRID
