The Program Management Leadership Development Associate (PM LDA) is a role that combines the development aspects of Parker's Leader Development Program (LDP / Program) with the general duties of a Parker Project Plan & Control Analyst. The PM LDA's primary duties will involve the support of planning, scheduling, cost, and change control management on assigned projects and programs, incorporating Program aspects to support decision-making processes that will impact our long-term future.
The Program involves a two-year rotation where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences throughout the initial two years with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching / mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities related to the rotational assignment, including, but not limited to : Set up the standard cost control system on assigned projects and programs. Monitor, control costs, and may validate data and schedules. Complete variance analysis and identify potential issues related to project performance. Perform analysis and generate reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated project management related parameters (cost, schedule, quality). Analyze varied cost data to determine projected overruns or shortfalls to the project baseline. Identify actions by analyzing and interpreting data for review with project management. Follow up on required actions and progress. Provide status for review with program and functional management. Prepare and maintain project plans with cross-functional input to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate project cost and scheduling risks.
