Warehouse Specialist

As the Warehouse Specialist , you will be loading / unloading outbound and inbound trucks. The Warehouse Specialist will be properly inspecting goods before shipping to identify imperfections or damage.

ICL Specialty Fertilizers has a manufacturing plant in the Greater Charleston, South Carolina area. Our plant is in North Charleston.

This position will report to the North Charleston facility. The facilities coat and manufacture controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote, Agroblen, and Agrocote.

ICL’s fertilizers are distributed globally to commercial clientele within the specialty agriculture and horticulture sectors.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

• Completing inventory and cycle counts
• Serving as the back-up for the Shipping Coordinator
• Stacking goods manually as well as with a Forklift
• Scheduling loads within TMS System
• Maintaining cleanliness within the distribution building
• Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to obtain a forklift operation license / certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• Can safely ascend / descend properly on stairs and / or ladders while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment along with managing multiple priorities, projects, and tasks simultaneously
• Possess basic computer skills including an entry-level proficiency within Microsoft Suite tools (Office, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to learn and understand site Distribution Management Plans, regulatory policies, and ISO Certification
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, holidays or weekends as needed
• Two (2) or more years of shipping and receiving experience

What will set me apart?

• Three (3) or more years of industrial production and / or manufacturing experience
• Experience loading and unloading containers and dry-vans
• QAD experience

Salary Range : $17 - $22 per hour

Annual Bonus Target : 3%, subject to plan provisions.
