JOB SUMMARY :
The IOA Claims Advocate is responsible for ensuring thorough and proactive claims management and advocacy for our clients with an emphasis on claims that are more complex in nature.
This includes all commercial insurance lines of coverage with primary focus on workers compensation, general liability, business auto, and property claims.
The Claims Advocate is required to build strong relationships with producers, clients and our carrier partners and serve as a conduit between all parties to ensure timely and successful claims outcomes on behalf of our clients.
The Claims Advocate also works in close collaboration with the Producer, Risk Advocate, Account Manager, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of key client objectives and their overall Risk Management Program.
Additionally, the Claims Advocate is required to be a Subject Matter Expert on claims handling protocols, regulations, statutes and other industry or line of coverage specific areas in support of the clients we serve.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Regularly review aggravated inequity loss reports and take appropriate action on findings.
- Monitor triggered activities on an ongoing basis, and identify and execute appropriate courses of action to ensure resolution.
- Conduct / participate in claims reviews and perform claims audits as required.
- Perform reserve analysis to ensure accurate and timely case reserves in keeping with claims best practices.
- Serve as intermediary between clients and carriers, working to facilitate mutually beneficial claims resolutions.
- Provide ongoing internal and external client education regarding any statute changes and state specific claims procedures best practices, including claim report claims handling.
- Identify claims trends, make client recommendations to promote safe work environments and mitigate exposures,
- Support Producer presentations and sales.
- Serve as intermediary between clients and carriers, working to facilitate mutually beneficial claims resolutions.
- Provide ongoing internal and external client education regarding any statute changes and state specific claims procedures best practices, including claim report claims handling.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- General office support / administration when requested or assigned.
- Back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence.
- Participates in training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of administrative and customer service teams and / or new hires.
- Ensures professional skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal / external development opportunities.
- Lifting and carrying large equipment / boxes over 25 lbs.
- Bending and stooping to utilize necessary office equipment.
- Participating in team building and other activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- 5+ Years of All Lines Claims Handling
- Currently hold and active Adjuster or P&C license
- Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative cross-functional team environment.
- Exceptional Customer Services Skills
- Strong Analytical Capabilities / skills
- Applied EPIC experience preferred.
- Excellent Multi-tasking, Organizational, Delegation and Decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication at both the business and technical level
- Ability to prepare, coordinate, and lead presentations and meetings virtually or in person.
- Ability to Perform Large Work Volumes with High Degrees of Accuracy
- Ability to meet time critical deadlines.
- PC & Microsoft Office proficient
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) / bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary Range : $75,000 to $85,000*Salary range variable depending on experience
