Overview
Claims Consultant – Property & Casualty at Marsh McLennan Agency. This role focuses on claims management, expertise, and analytics to support clients with Property & Casualty coverage.
Responsibilities
- Claims Management : Proactively advocate on P&C claims from initial report through resolution, communicating with clients and internal teams on claim status; mitigate client claim exposures through strategic claims management; negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients; maintain agency management system data for accuracy; organize and participate in claim review meetings and new business presentations; perform other specific claims-related duties as assigned.
- Claims Expertise : Be a trusted claims specialist in the marketplace, actively present in the agency and community; drive ongoing education and knowledge of coverage issues and claims technical skills; provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients and internal teams; educate colleagues and clients through training on claims handling and case studies.
- Claims Trending & Analysis : Monitor trends in claims activity; communicate with agency teams about coverage or carrier issues; provide loss data, trends, and cost-reduction opportunities to support action plans; advise internal teams on trending coverage issues to enhance clients' risk management portfolios.
- Carrier Relationships : Build strong carrier relationships with adjusters and claims team members to support client needs and carrier objectives; communicate effectively with carriers to resolve issues.

Minimum 5+ years of P&C claims experience (preferred).Multi-line carrier or brokerage claims experience required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.Professional designations a plus.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Positive, collaborative demeanor with strong customer, client, colleague, and management relationships.Well-organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.Computer proficiency with systems of record, web-based tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.Commitment to company values : Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, Accountability.Property and Casualty license or willingness to obtain within 90 days required.Valuable Benefits
