Summary :
Responsible for coordination of orientation of all nursingpersonnel; representation of CHRISTUS in community activities; andplanning, development, implementation, and evaluation of nursingcontinuing education programs
Responsibilities :
- Maintains consistency with Administrative andDepartmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude,attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, andreliability.
- Plans and implements educationalactivities to meet identified learning needs, utilizing adulteducation principles.
- Develops and utilizedappropriate evaluative system to determine effectiveness ofeducational activities.
- Promotes collaborativerelationships among health care professionals. Participates incommittees, task forces, meetings, and activities to assist in thedevelopment of staff, ultimately resulting in improvedcare.
- Participates in activities that promoteprofessional development through education and other activitiesthat enhance the practice of nursing andeducation.
Requirements :
- Basic understanding of education functions andprocesses.
- Knowledgeable of current businesspractices and customer relations.
- Demonstratesability to apply principles of leadership, administration, globalthinking, and performance improvement in anorganization.
- Possesses excellentcommunication and organizational skills and demonstrates ability towork in stressful and variable environments.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,etc.), Internet search capabilities.
- 2 yearsof experience teaching adults.
- 3 years ofexperience in healthcare setting.
- Current LARN license
- BLScertification
