Chief of Staff

About the Role

Were looking for a Chief of Staff to act as a force multiplier for the CEO. The role will be a mix of project management and special projects. A great hire will go on to lead a team at Mainshares, or leave to acquire and grow a small business.

Responsibilities

Drive outcomes. Ensure metrics are clearly defined, communicated and tracked. Audit and improve staff meetings. Manage key follow-ups and keep the trains moving.

Improve planning. Quarterback staff meetings and planning cycles, owning agenda prep, pre-reads and follow-ups. Review interim status updates.

Create leverage. Parachute into problems : solve the near-term fire, build a longer-term playbook, identify and train a teammate to own its ongoing implementation.

Special projects . Lead scoping and implementation of cross-functional projects in partnership with the CEO and other leaders at the company.

Requirements

5+ years in management consulting, investment banking and / or private equity.

Exceptional project management skills. You run tight meetings. You drive to deadlines. Folks trust you to make sure the trains run on time.

Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management. You are able to connect well with stakeholders and influence outcomes.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Youre comfortable moving around models and decks and have a solid grasp of finance and statistics.

You like to work. Actually! You are at a point where working hard and making an impact on a problem that matters is a top priority.

Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills.

Nice-to-Have

You have experience with leveraged finance and / or private equity, either as a principal or consultant / service provider.

Youre familiar with SQL and statistics.
