Senior HR Specialist, Leaves & Field Support

💲 $90,000 – $125,000 base + bonus + strong benefits
A growing, employee-owned organization in the construction industry is seeking a Senior HR Specialist, Leaves & Field Support to support its union field workforce and corporate operations. This role offers the opportunity to shape and manage leave programs—including the implementation of Minnesota’s new Paid Family Leave Act—while contributing to broader HR initiatives across compliance, employee relations, and field HR support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all leaves of absence (FMLA, state-specific, paid family leave).
- Support union workforce relations, interpret CBAs, and ensure compliance.
- Partner with field leaders and operations teams to resolve HR issues and improve communication.
- Maintain accurate records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding for field employees.
- Collaborate with safety and L&D teams on required training and workforce initiatives.
Qualifications :
5+ years of progressive HR experience; 2+ years supporting union or construction-trade employees (IBEW or similar strongly preferred).Proven experience managing leaves of absence at a multi-state level.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with both field and corporate staff.Workday HRIS experience preferred; PHR / SPHR certification a plus.Details :
