Minimum Requirements & Essential Functions
Assess, develop, and maintain the Material Control and Supply plan to verify inventory standards as well as agency goals and objectives are met. Provide strategic management, direction, and leadership to the staff of the Material Control and Supply Section. Serve as a senior member of the staff, providing advice on related matters, creating and managing the budget, and developing policy. Oversee the day-to-day Material Control and Supply functions and processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ability to direct and manage subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees in Material Control and Supply. Ability to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this entire section. Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Preferred Qualifications
Considerably high level management / supervisory experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use sense of smell (e.g., gas leaks; contaminated equipment); reach with hands and arms; use hands to handle or feel; stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds (e.g., warehouse functions and / or handling large shipments). The employee is regularly required to sit; talk; and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (e.g., computer and paperwork), distance vision, color vision (evaluating uniforms and other equipment for proper color according to agency policy), peripheral vision and depth perception (e.g., working in a warehouse environment, and ability to readjust focus (e.g., evaluating products). Work is generally performed in a standard office setting, warehouse, loading dock, and command posts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
