Mid-Level Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join the Power & Energy team. Location considerations : Houston, TX; Seattle, WA; Boise, ID; Hailey, ID. The candidate will work on power generation projects and contribute to a growing organization that supports client objectives and challenges.
Responsibilities
- Development of instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects
- Lead and support Instrumentation & Controls design efforts on multi-discipline projects
- Instrumentation design and selection
- Instrumentation installation design
- Control system wiring design
- Control system logic design
- Control system hardware design and configuration
- Coordination with colleagues in other engineering disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Coordination with clients, equipment vendors, and contractors on projects
- Field commissioning support on project start-up efforts
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Adherence to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering3+ years of Instrumentation and Controls experienceEngineer in Training CertificationCommitment to workplace safety and to abide by WSPs health, safety, and harassment policiesAbility to work schedules that may extend beyond the typical workweekOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirementsPreferred qualifications
Masters Degree in EngineeringEssential Professional LicensureExperience leading a group of engineersExperience with PLC hardware / software and configurationExperience with power generation processes or power plant control systemsNetwork and SCADA designMicrosoft Office Suite Excel, Visio, Access, etc.WSP Benefits

Compensation
Expected salary : $73,100 - $125,400
