Responsibilities :
The Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) will support Barrow Wise's civilian government project and perform the following duties :
- Provide expertise on complex, high dollar federal acquisitions
- Provide pre / post award recommendations for complex-high dollar acquisitions
- Researching and drafting policy and standard operating procedures
- Review specifications to promote competition and avoid Government liability
An Ideal Candidate has :
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ten years of federal contracting experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements information orally from customers, convey the need in writing, and answer simple acquisition-related questions
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), local DFC policy, and basic knowledge of contract law
- Knowledge and experience with various types of contracts, including firm-fixed price with economic price adjustments, time & materials, labor hours, and T&M level of effort
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
