Our client, a leading organization in facility management and maintenance, is seeking an Operating Engineer 2 to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 2, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Facilities Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Operating Engineer

Location : Oxford, OH

Pay Range : $29 / h-$31 / h

Shift : 1st shift, 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm

What's the Job?

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems. Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Control systems to ensure safety and efficiency. Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make necessary adjustments for optimal operation. Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems. HVAC certification, with EPA 608 Type II Certification required; Universal certification preferred. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems. Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
