This role will involve developing robust test automation frameworks, ensuring quality assurance across web, API, and UI platforms, and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Job Description :
Trilyon is seeking a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to design, build, and execute automation frameworks for large-scale web and API-based applications. The SDET will collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams to improve test coverage, maintain quality standards, and ensure efficient delivery cycles. This position requires expertise in Selenium , Playwright , Java , and API testing using tools like RestAssured or Postman / Newman .
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and UI testing using Java, Selenium, and Playwright .
Build and execute API test automation suites for REST and GraphQL endpoints using RestAssured , Postman , or Newman .
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define effective test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins , GitHub Actions , or GitLab CI .
Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing through automated test scripts.
Analyze test results, identify root causes, log defects, and drive timely resolutions in collaboration with development teams.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices, code quality standards, and documentation procedures.
Develop tools, scripts, and utilities to enhance testing efficiency and repeatability.
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
Stay current with emerging test automation tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills :
5+ years of experience as an SDET , Automation Engineer, or QA Developer.
Strong programming skills in Java for developing automation frameworks.
Proven hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for web automation.
Experience in API testing using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
Knowledge of test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit , or Cucumber .
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) will play a key role in ensuring product reliability and accelerating software delivery.
