Coordinator, Patient Support Services
Fannin Tower Cardiology is seeking a Coordinator, Patient Support Services to provide administrative support to faculty and the education program. The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling patient office visits, surgers, tests and procedures.
Job Duties
- Schedules patient surgical appointments.
- Acts as liaison between patients and surgical facility.
- Obtains surgical and clinical pre-authorizations.
- Coordinates patients' ancillary appointments.
- Answers patient calls and questions regarding surgeries.
- Enters orders for patient tests and obtains proper paperwork.
- Corresponds with patient's referring physician as needed.
- Reviews referral data and ensures all referral loops are being closed in an effective and timely manner.
- Provides administrative support for physicians as needed.
- Handles confidential documents.
- Supports faculty and physician recruitment activities.
- Coordinates Faculty / Education Meetings.
- Participates in, or assists with special projects.
- Assists with Educational Program and provides administrative support to faculty.
- Answers help line calls and emails, and assists patients with questions.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.Two years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications
Patient scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorization experience.Work Authorization Requirement : This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
