Job Summary :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and advanced imaging technology. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring optimal unit operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct Nuclear Medicine exams efficiently, ensuring clear documentation and timely communication of results.Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate patient care and diagnostic processes.Assess patient conditions to accurately perform radiology exams.Clearly communicate procedures to patients to enhance their understanding and cooperation.Provide compassionate direct patient care in a safe, comforting environment.Ensure that all necessary clinical equipment and supplies are utilized safely and effectively.Adhere to quality control standards in all documentation and Point of Care procedures.Qualifications : Education :
Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or relevant field.Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.Licenses / Certifications :
Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMT) or ARRT (N).Obtaining Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment is required.Located at Heart Hospital of Austin, a 58-bed institution recognized for excellence in cardiovascular care, you will be part of a team in a facility with an advanced emergency department and state-of-the-art operating rooms including hybrid ORs.
