Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of all Saroyan Employees each day. Implementing safe working practices and ensuring the well-being of everyone is a core value of Saroyan. The Safety Coordinator will be integral to fostering a culture of safety that not only protects our team but also aligns with OSHA and regulatory requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE

• Implement safety training, conduct risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Conduct regular safety audits, site inspections, and documentation review to ensure compliance
• Lead New Hire Safety Orientation and conduct training (e.g., forklift, PPE, equipment use)
• Keep safety documentation, training logs, and compliance records up to date and audit ready.
• Investigate workplace incidents / accidents, file worker's compensation claims, and manage follow ups.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations
• Manage first aid supplies and PPE inventory
• Monitor fire extinguishers to ensure inspections are current
• Oversee site sweeping for cleanliness and regulatory compliance
• Maintain California Environmental Reporting (CERS) yearly
• Conduct and record quarterly Safety meetings along with daily / weekly Toolbox Talks
