Job description

PAYROLL MANAGER SALARY : $130,000-$160,000, depending on experience and skills. SCHEDULED HOURS : Full-time 35 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 9 : 30am - 5 : 30pm, plus overtime and holidays when necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Job responsibilities / functions to include, but not be limited to :

  • Manage the entire payroll process, including calculating wages, taxes, and other deductions, and coordinating the timely distribution of payments to employees.
  • Provide technical support, training, and general backup for payroll operations, including hiring and training new payroll associates. Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to payroll staff. Manage workloads, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain in-depth technical and professional knowledge of the payroll function.
  • Learn current payroll processes (non-union, and union including Local B751 Telecharge, Local 32BJ Security & Roving Crew, Local 30 Engineers, DC9 Painters, and Local 829 Billposters); develop and recommend modification to modernize and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage payroll system, including updating records, processing employee changes, and ensuring efficient data management. Check for accurate and complete data. In-depth knowledge of payroll system.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new payroll systems / modules, providing requested information, configuration, testing, and training.
  • Ensure the payroll process adheres to all federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain detailed payroll records for auditing purposes and management review. Create and run custom reports as necessary in ADP Reporting.
  • Conduct internal audits of payroll data to verify accuracy and adherence to union contracts and labor laws. Provide documentation and support for external audits.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues, serving as a primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees and management.
  • Maintenance and enrollment of commuter benefits plan and 401k plan for office employees including upkeep of employer and employee contributions to the 401k plan.
  • Process monthly office Pension Plan payments and maintenance of participants.
  • Work closely with Human Resources, Finance and Audit departments to ensure consistency in compensation policies, benefits, and reporting.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping confidential information.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • High technical skills
  • ADP Vantage proficiency
  • ADP Reporting proficiency
  • UKG Ready experience
  • PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in payroll management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, financial reporting, and relevant labor laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
  • ___________________ OFF-BROADWAY PART TIME STAGE DOOR ATTENDANT, NEW WORLD STAGES / STAGE 42 WAGE : $21.00 per hour SCHEDULED HOURS : The building is open 8am-12am Monday through Sunday Typically 8hr shifts from 8am to 4pm or 4pm to midnight, with some fluctuation. Must be available to work additional hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings if required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO :

  • Responsible for reception and security at the stage door of New World Stages / Stage 42.
  • Screen all tenants, clients, co-workers, visitors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain security at stage door, maintain records of access and key possession, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and service standards.
  • Respond to building issues in a timely matter, log detailed notes, and alert all the necessary parties to begin resolution.
  • Communicate between tenants, Front of House, and Facilities staff regarding schedule changes, building maintenance, etc.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of items and messages for tenants, clients, and NWS / S42 staff and maintain records reflecting activity.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and order of the Stage Door and storage closet.
  • Coordinate with Off-Broadway Security Coordinator and Off-Broadway Security Field Supervisor on any department needs.
  • Other duties as required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • Scheduling experience a plus.
  • Responsive and friendly disposition.
  • ___________________ OPERATING ENGINEER SCHEDULED HOURS : Full-time 40 hours per week, plus overtime when necessary. Must be able to work both day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, when necessary. HOURLY PAY RATE : $49.69, not including an additional 8% vacation benefit paid on weekly gross salary.

    Extensive field experience with :

  • Operating, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC / R equipment
  • Electrical power and control systems
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • Monitoring and operating fire protection systems
  • Fire alarm systems and evacuation skills
  • NYC Fire Department Certificate of Qualification for Refrigerating System Operating Engineer, Q01
  • EPA 608 CFC Universal Certification (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F)
  • NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness : A-35, P-98, S-12, S-13, S-94 (if selected, otherwise qualified candidates will be required to obtain all missing certificates within 60 days of employment)
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints
  • Superior communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take direction well and to effectively accomplish tasks based on verbal instructions
  • High level of motivation and be a self-starter
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Capability to work flexible schedule as required by operational demands and ability to fill-in for co-workers as necessary (due to vacation, illness, ). Mandatory overtime when required by operational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline oriented, high-pressure environment, and to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record for occasional required operation of company
  • If not already a member of U.O.E. Local Union No. 30 must apply for membership upon hire.
