An educational program is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to provide short-term instructional and behavioral support to students. This role ensures continuity of learning and a structured, safe environment during staff absences.
Responsibilities / Duties :
Assist teachers with classroom instruction, supervision, and daily learning activities
Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with academic or behavioral needs
Implement strategies outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavior plans
Monitor and document student progress, participation, and behavior
Support classroom routines, transitions, and organization
Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safety procedures
Complete required school fingerprinting and background checks before assignment
Qualifications / Desired Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education preferred
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or childcare provider preferred
Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in classroom settings
Dependable and able to work flexible substitute assignments
Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and background clearance
Candidates meeting these qualifications and available for substitute coverage should submit a résumé and indicate fingerprinting readiness.
Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.
Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $48.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
