Summary :
Heart & Vascular Institute-East, inclusive of ambulatory services and medical practices within Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiac Surgery. This position reports to the Vice President, Heart & Vascular Institute of Nuvance Health. The responsible individual is expected to demonstrate and promote our mission, values, and service excellence behaviors, creating and maintaining a culture that embraces and successfully achieves exceptional outcomes in patient safety and quality, patient experience, physician and staff engagement and financial stewardship.
Responsibilities :
Directs the daily operations of HVI-East. Provides direct supervision to area managers, supervisors, operations, and clinical staff in areas of responsibility. Oversees staff hiring, training, professional development, rewards, and disciplinary processes. Collaborates with VP, HVI and Human Resources to recruit, retain and develop a high-functioning team.Develops and ensures the timely provision of operational reports, key process indicators (KPIs), productivity, quality outcomes and other key data to reliably and regularly monitor the performance of areas of responsibility.Accountable for financial management and outcomes for areas of responsibility. Develops, monitors, and manages operating budgets, implementing corrective action when necessary to ensure expenses align with budgets. Develops and manages capital expense budgets and forecasts capital equipment needs in five-year increments. Ensures clinical services are billed for accurately and timely.Completes projects for the HVI, including, but not limited to : assessing work flows within each section and among sections; scheduling; billing; accounts receivable; performance improvement; researching operational and capital equipment; contributing to annual employee performance evaluation goals.Collaborates with clinical leadership to define quality measure / outcome reporting processes and develops protocols and point of care reminders using nationally recognized evidence-based care measure / outcomes. Serves as a resource to staff and providers to establish quality goals and outcome reports.Effectively communicates with colleagues across the system, HVI executive leadership and key stakeholders to enlist support within the organization for all strategic and operational initiatives.Models and maintains Nuvance Health values.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary clinical and operations teams within a healthcare setting.Medical practice leadership with cardiovascular experience preferred.Salary Range : $59.84 - $111.12 Hourly, commensurate with experience
