Description
The Augusta Teen Center works with teens to develop their skills and teach them healthy habits. The Center is looking for a Curriculum Coordinator to help with planning out fun and educational activities ahead of time.
The Curriculum Coordinator would ensure the teen are being taught meaningful information that they can take with them throughout their lives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Development and implementation of programming materials that align with a pre-determined curriculum.
- Creation of a weekly programming schedule with the Executive Director utilizing the developed materials.
- Create a programing schedule that covers about 6 months in advance and prepare resources
- Teach teens about caring for their health
- Assist in daily programming activities.
- Act as a mentor to the ATC teens by involving teens in appropriate ATC management activities.
- Working as a team, assist ATC Supervisor & Coordinator as needed.
- Facilitate social activities, discussion groups, and outings.
- Plan out special events and projects that benefit the club.
- Contribute to the success of club members, in particular teens seeking employment and exploring education or career options.
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS :
- Work with and mentor a diverse population of teenagers.
- Liaison between the schools and A2S Coordinator.
- Develop relationships and communicate with partners in the community.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
- Ability to assist, lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.
- Ability to work as a team member and to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Willingness to problem-solve and bring new ideas to team discussions.
- General understanding of grants
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :
- HS diploma or equivalent; May be substituted for prior work experience.
- Valid driver's license and must meet internal insurance requirements.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs; comfortable with spreadsheets.
EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum 1 year office experience and working with youth.
- Experience and familiarity with the club, preferably at least six months.
WORK SCHEDULE :
Full-Time 30 hours; Monday - Friday, 11 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm; Be available during the school year, school vacations, and the summer;
Some evenings and weekends may be required.
