The Product Manager, Quality and Release, is responsible for ensuring testable, risk-aligned requirements, drive UAT and defect impact prioritization, and own the QE platform / infrastructure backlog to maximize quality outcomes. The Product Manager leads product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and business requirements, and ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
About the Role
The Product Manager, Quality and Release, is responsible for ensuring testable, risk-aligned requirements, drive UAT and defect impact prioritization, and own the QE platform / infrastructure backlog to maximize quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Translate changes into testable requirements with clear acceptance criteria (functional, performance, integration).
- Align QE with development timelines / scope; communicate scope changes early.
- Lead defect impact analysis & prioritization with customer / business context; align triage with release goals.
- Prioritize testing based on business impact; rank critical E2E / SIT flows.
- Ensure risk-aligned test coverage, especially for production-critical paths.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)—criteria, timelines, feedback loops.
- Integrate production learnings (RCA, post-mortems) into test strategies and automation.
- QE Platform Product Owner for Quality Infrastructure effort : define outcomes, prioritize backlog (frameworks, data, env, dashboards), and track value realization.
- Support test environment strategy with Strategic QE and Infra (prioritize needs vs. releases).
- Champion continuous improvement using quality metrics and UAT feedback.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration on quality goals.
- Communicate to business stakeholders, product teams and divisions production health for the NGPOS product.
- Set criteria for minimum viable product to increase the speed / frequency with which enhancements and new capabilities are delivered.
- Lead the appropriate teams to refine, prioritize and manage requirements using various tools (e.g., templates, team backlogs, requirements management or agile task management applications).
- Lead requirement walk-throughs with key stakeholders using various methods (e.g., team demos, workshops, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions).
- Identify and estimate anticipated work efforts based on priority using requirement work plans, and sprint planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop, implement and optimize support processes and best practices.
- Define and resolve dependencies, issues and risks and identify impacted areas through team collaboration.
- Break down a medium to complex vision into smaller projects, initiatives or features.
- Communicate to business stakeholders, product teams and divisions production health for the NGPOS product.
Qualifications
Experience leading automated rollouts for software, and instilling successful support processes.Experience in retail industry is preferred.Required Skills
