Job Description :
This role is a great fit for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in logistics and supply chain. You’ll play a key role in coordinating freight, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Scheduling and tracking shipments using various transportation modes, such as LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers, and common carriers.Responsible for freight coordination for Trucking freight of product including compliance related to documentationSchedule, book and align shipments using production schedule.Negotiate with broker / carrier via phone, email, text for optimal rate and services without compromising on time deliveries.Responsible for initiating Customs documentation such as Commercial Invoices and Bills of Lading, USMCA.Track, Trace shipments by calling driver and coordinate delayed shipments to sales team. Report any breakdown or damages to manager.Collaborates with team to coordinate timely transportationAccountable for conducting rate analysis with carriers, vendors and brokersResponsible for recording internal documentation of ongoing shipping / receivables.Identify opportunities to improve service into consignee and customer locations; create and implement solutions based on findingsUpdate customers regarding shipment where asked. (Track, Trace, report delays)Provide reporting for carrier performance, consignee performance, and volume spike impactsReconcile freight invoices, match PODs and submit to accounting or report errors on freight charges, missing PODs back to broker, carrier to fix or provide additional documents before submitting to accounting.Handle incoming calls to sign in drivers for delivery and pick up.Enter customer pick up shipments on customer portal where required.Training new hires in shipping department when needed.Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent required.Recent graduate or 1–2 years of professional work experience (logistics experience not required—training provided).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.Ability to stay resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment.Perks :
