OPT Industries () is a rapidly growing, venture-backed MIT spinoff company that focuses on building the next generation of additive manufacturing technology.

Working at the intersection of automation engineering, computational design and polymer science, we design and commercially manufacture highly customizable materials and products- everything from medical devices to luxury fashion.

Our mission is to transform products by taking an integrated approach from design to manufacturing. As we continue to expand our operation, we are looking for experienced leaders to drive the product growth strategy to meet increasing customer demands in the field of Cosmetics.

Candidates must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, performance-minded team environment.

The location for this position is Medford, MA, USA.

Opportunities

We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the development and execution of our product strategy with a primary focus on the cosmetics and consumer goods markets.

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including R&D, engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to define product requirements and deliver the product roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and areas of opportunity within the cosmetics industry.
  • Support the product development process, from ideation and prototyping to testing and commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Drive innovation in product design, formulation, and packaging, leveraging OPT’s proprietary 3D printing technology to create unique and customizable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cosmetic products and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the cosmetics, beauty, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the development and launch of innovative products from concept to commercialization.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work and communicate with cross functional team members
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Experience in the consumer goods or 3D printing industry preferred*
