Job Summary :

The Contract Specialist is responsible for every phase of the contract lifecycle. The Contract Specialist will work cross-functionally with region development, legal, leadership, and finance team members to ensure franchise contracts are prepared and processed in a timely and accurate manner to verify compliance with company controls and Federal Trade Commission guidelines.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Provide guidance and support to internal customers and franchisees in collecting and preparing necessary documentation for franchise sales, contract renewals, transfers, and terminations.
  • Develop and distribute reports to Franchise Sales, Region Development and Motto Mortgage team leaders summarizing key metrics as they relate to each department’s needs.
  • Manage the systems and processes for ongoing tracking of various incentive programs ensuring all timelines are handled proactively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Franchise Sales and Motto Mortgage Operations in tracking and finalizing application materials, franchise agreement terms and timely distribution of franchise contracts.
  • Draft and process region contracts and related documents for RE / MAX and Motto franchise sales, renewals, transfers, terminations, and amendments to franchise agreements.
  • Validate contractual revenue received and submit to finance in a timely manner for processing of all company owned franchise contracts.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and communicate franchisee contract performance to assist in determining the necessity for amendments, letter agreements, and contract extensions.
  • Monitor and communicate franchisee contract completion progress to internal customers.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Franchise Disclosure Document and all provisions of the franchise agreement.
  • Perform routine internal audits to ensure contract and system compliance.
  • Manage timely and accurate internal system updates.
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports for distribution to internal staff.

Job Qualifications :

  • College degree required
  • 2+ years of legal or paralegal experience working with franchise contracts preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Hire Range / Rate : $47,000 - $55,000

$47,000 - $55,000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education / certifications, or geographic location.

The offer rate represents one component of the RE / MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below.

Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
